Hello people! My name is Charo Fuentes.
I’m a graphic designer and illustrator, with 32 years of experience in different industries. I studied Graphic Design at the Instituto de Diseño de Caracas and since then I have worked for clients such as Disinlimed (medical publishing), Abbott Laboratories (pharmaceutical), Procter & Gamble (mass consumption) and Bloque de Armas (media).
I have won two awards for the best stands for Abbott Laboratories in Mexico, with designs that represented the infant rehydration room of the JM de los Rios Hospital and a shelf of Farmatodo in Venezuela.
In 2001 I founded Centro Gráfico Letonia, a company that offered graphic design, small and large format printing services and installations. With this project I managed to create an important portfolio of clients such as Turismo Maso, Laboratorio Elmor and Baker Hughes.
In addition to my work as a graphic designer and illustrator, I am passionate about culinary art and gastronomy. That’s why in 2016 I went on a trip to Europe to live, learn and share experiences.
In 2020-2021 I studied at BIGSEO Academy in Barcelona and since then I have been dedicated to creating content for affiliate and ecommerce websites.
One of my current projects is my blog www.comidamivida.com, where I show the step by step of the recipes I like the most, with written content and videos. I also have other websites on topics such as watercolor painting, taps, vermicomposting.
First of all, I am an artist committed to the client. My value centers on my ability to easily understand needs and translate them into concrete materials that produce tangible results and added value.
I have been a natural mentor to other artists and graphic designers and enjoy sharing what I know.
On a more personal note, I’m Venezuelan and I love soccer, basketball -I don’t miss it-, cats -I’m going to have one-, the beach -imperdible-, carpentry -my brain melts-, the mountains, music -on Fridays-, painting in watercolor and making sculptures with Sculpey premo, a good conversation and of course LIVING!
